2 TIMOTHY 3: The Man of God and the Word of God
10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

I read a story yesterday on CBN’s website where a woman in NH had been praying outside of her child’s school for a couple of years. She didn’t do this silently, and she wasn’t yelling her prayer..just saying it out loud. She started praying on school grounds in 2011 after two bullets were found in a restroom at the school. She was seeking the Lord’s help in protecting not only her own children at that school, but ALL at the school, students and faculty alike.

Who stepped in to stop her? You probably guessed it: The Freedom From Religion Foundation. You know this group…they are the ones who are continually responsible for shutting down public Christian displays of the ten commandments, nativity scenes, etc. all over the nation through their whining and complaining and bringing forth frivolous lawsuits that waste tax payer dollars and oppress the very faith that made this nation.

Their actions are despicable to me.

Think about this woman being told she can no longer pray on school grounds. Was she hurting anyone? NO. Was she trying to keep the school and everyone in it safe? Yes. Yet again, we see (as the bible says in 2 Timothy 3:3) “despisers of good” shutting down yet another attempt at helping others through our Faith in God.

The actions of the FFRF have nothing to do with atheist freedoms at all, despite their claims. They have EVERYTHING to do with their extreme hatred and fear of God and Christianity. They would be wiser I think at this point to start going after the Islamic agenda in this nation as that is FAR MORE detrimental to them than any Christian or nativity scene is. But they won’t see this because our nation is under God’s judgment. And just as God hardened Pharoah’s heart in Egypt for His glory, He is also allowing groups like this to have their way for His glory. We may not be able to see it at this point, but in time we will.

Persecution of Christians and Jews is growing worldwide. I posted on my fan page a few days ago a message from SonGear claiming that statistics reveal a Christian is being murdered solely for his faith every 5 minutes of every day these days somewhere in the world. Islam is being praised, while Christians are being killed, silenced, and shunned. But we knew this time was coming didn’t we? Jesus DID tell us that we would be hated by the world because they hated Him first. And we also know last days prophecy tells us there is coming a time of persecution for believers and Jews unlike any other time in history.

It’s hard to believe this is happening right here in America, but it is. Muslims have been emboldened by political leaders, and so have atheists, as they are blindly stepping right into the New World Order’s ideology of a false “Utopian society”. Atheists are being led to believe we Christians are ignorant, blind, and that it is our faith that has destroyed the school systems, this nation, the government, etc.

WE CHRISTIANS ARE BEING TARGETED through lies, just like in Germany during Hitler’s rise to power, through propaganda. History is repeating itself.

Are you trying to fight this by speaking TRUTH about God and the Bible? Are you standing up to this oppression in our nation? Are you using what little bit of speech freedom we have left to holler from the rooftops about the persecution that is happening worldwide?

I hope you all are. We are called to serve Him, and this aspect of our faith may be part or all of your calling. I hope you are doing what you can as you are called and not sitting on your hands.

Let’s start sharing the truth about this. Let’s start being bold in our faith and speaking out against these false claims about us and our faith, about what is happening to us. Start researching the persecution that is happening and start sharing stories about it because more awareness brings forth more action.

Here in America the persecution is still soft, but escalating. Are you watching?

I’m praying for all of you as we face ever darkening times. Remember though, HE is with you. Strengthen yourselves with HIS truth, put on the full armor of God and be encouraged. We know ALL is for His glory and we must be strong – as He was – holding fast to the promises of the Lord.

Peace to you all, today and every day.

  1. Unceasing prayer is offensive towards our Lord. You’re telling our Lord that He does not hear us the first time. Our Lord knows our hearts better than we do. One silent prayer is all it takes. Anymore than that shows a lack of faith. We are even told this in scripture.

How do you know she was not hurting anyone? She hurt me when I seen the article knowing what the scripture says about how we are NOT to openly pray in public. Yelling or plainly speaking, it is against scripture. We are to pray privately or within our church.

She put herself in danger. Not wise. Might not be in scripture, but it is within my common sense not to do so. Our Lord needs us around as long as possible, not arrested.

She would have been serving our Lord and the safety of the students better by becoming an active Christian by using social skills other than prayer by asking the school to allow her a safety course in the gym what you are suppose to do if live ammunition is found, or a gun. Prayer is fine, but when our Lord calls for action, you act…not pray.

I am sorry if this offends anyone, it is not my intention. My intention is to educate and prevent further persecution which this article is its concern. Let’s be better examples as Christians by doing, not preaching. Remember, there is free will in the world, it is not up to us to change it. All have been told. The apostles have done their job, let’s start to do ours by strengthening ourselves and those who care to be strengthened by staying within the Laws of God. We might be allowed to see better results than this.

I hope I explained this well enough for people to understand without getting angry at me. I have already tried to explain this in a facebook page, only to be attacked and deleted from the group.

This woman broke both the laws of God and the laws of man by being at that school. The law enforcement and school should be thanked for allowing it to go on as long as it did. It shows that they agreed with her and was in her standing…to an extent. There should be no anger or retaliation by her or by anyone else if they followed the laws of scripture or by local government who are responsible for the safety of the children while in school. They allowed her to make her point, and I am happy to see that.

I would like to hear other viewpoints. Lets discuss this, not battle about it. Maybe I am wrong about the two laws that were broken. If so, please help point it out to me!

    1. TY for the comments David, I would like to address a few things you said. I think what you MEANT to say is “repetitive” prayer is offensive to the Lord, not “unceasing prayer”. I’m sure this woman was not repeating the same prayer every day. It was probably more like having a sick relative and asking the Lord each day for help for that person, based on each days’ events, and giving thanks. But I only speculate.

You mention “Our Lord needs us around as long as possible, not arrested.” You DO realize that the Lord doesn’t “NEED” us for anything right? If every Christian believed as you do, the Disciples themselves wouldn’t have gone out to the world and shared the faith because they had to “protect themselves” from the haters in their day, for fear of being arrested/persecuted. They would have stayed inside and prayed alone, and the faith would have gone no where. We are told to have great courage and not fear what men can do to us, which I believe this woman felt – but again I only speculate.

1 Thessalonians 5 says: 12 And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, 13 and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. 15 See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.

I believe what your comment is referring to is Mark 6 where Jesus tells His disciples and followers NOT to be like the Pharisees and hypocrites who pray in public to be seen praying that others might think they are holy and righteous when they are not. Jesus again was referring to matters of the heart – which I truly don’t believe this woman was merely praying outside the school to be “noticed” as holy or righteous. Not praying in public is not a commandment, neither is praying in public a sin. If that were the case, our churches are in big trouble and so are many Christians. If that were the case, we better stop praying in hospitals, in restaurants before we eat, at funerals, and at football games, because they are all in the public realm.

The point of this whole blog is to bring awareness that Christians in America ARE being persecuted David and that it is escalating. There are numerous other stories in the news of Christians being viciously attacked for their beliefs – by Muslims, by atheists, by homosexuals, etc. If we allow this to continue we will end up like Europe and the Middle East where our churches and Christian structures will be attacked also “where Christians keep their faith out of the public realm”. The point to this blog is for awareness to the growing persecution in this nation, not to condemn or judge this one woman’s actions.

      God bless 🙂

  2. I needed to read this. This is so true. I recently been thinking about this. I wonder what we’ll have to face ten years from now. If they can bold, so should we!
    I’m encouraged!

  3. Would you have a problem with a Muslim standing on the school grounds shouting prayers out to Allah or a Satanist shouting out prayers on school grounds telling people they should turn to Satan? The Freedom from Religion Foundation isn’t so much concerned about “christianity” as they are about “seperation of church and state”. They don’t think the government should be acknowledging any religion. The only reason christianity seems to take the brunt of it is because, let’s face it, you see more statues of the ten commandents on government building then you do about scripture from the Koran. And as many people have pointed out, if the authorities are going to allow this woman to pray to god, then they have to give equal time to hindus, muslims, mormons, satanists, budhists and a myriad of other religious people to do the same thing. It would turn public schools into religious nutjobs of all types trying to get attention.

    1. Once again, another American has sadly shown his ignorance of what “separation of church and state” means. It has ALWAYS MEANT that the government will never infringe on religious liberty, yet atheists involved in organizations such as the FFRF continue to stomp all over Christian freedoms with crooked socialist believing judges.

Do you think it fair many schools allow Muslim prayer rooms now, but Christian prayer is not allowed in public school? Do you think it fair that because Muslims complain about saying “God” in our national anthem, etc that they get their way and God is taken out? Do you think it fair that American children are taught about the 5 pillars of Islam in schools, yet lied to about our national history and Christianity is not spoken of in public schools?

I could give you hundreds upon hundreds of articles showing the growing Christian persecution in America.

You seem to be a bit one sided on this Max. You want “freedom for all” EXCEPT CHRISTIANS. History IS repeating itself in this nation and Nazi Germany is rising again. As I keep saying, Islam is FAR MORE of a very real and dangerous threat to every American than Christianity could ever be or ever has been. I hope you wake up to the truth soon friend.

      God bless you.

    2. i want to educate pepole that a nutjob named mikey wEInstein who started this problems for all christians in u.s.a. he wants to shut down any reglion who worship JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR SO DONT LISTEN TO DAVID BROOKS HE WRONG MIKY IS WRONG THE FREEDOM FROM REGLION IS A TAICAL TO SCARE ALL BELIVERS DONT BE SCARED BE BOLD SPEAK UP FOR CHRIST AMEN

  4. Yes, Brandy, I know what seperation of church and state means, but our Constitution also says it will not favor one specific religion. But that is just background noise in reference to a bigger question which you didn’t answer.

Brandy: Yes or No question – Would you have a problem with someone on public school property shouting out prayers to Allah?

    1. OK Max, I’ll play along. NO, I would NOT have a problem with someone on public school property shouting out prayers to Allah; that is their right if they so choose. I bet they wouldn’t say the same though regarding Christians, Buddhists, etc.

Let’s get one thing clear though, this woman was NOT SHOUTING out prayers. READ THE ARTICLE.

      God bless.

  5. As long as you don’t have a problem with people of other religions standing out there along side of her, that is fine. Most people don’t take that approach, which is why, when government institutions or schools are being threatened with legal action, they cave. The only alternative is to offer equal access. (This was seen recently where instead of removing a statue of the ten commandments, atheists were allowed to put up their monument).

And personally, I don’t want to see public schools become a sea of a thousand different people reciting a thousand different prayers from a thousand different religions when kids are just trying to go to school.

  6. The deal is this planet was handed over to Lucifer and his angels. It has been in decay since day one. We simply are seeing the wrap up of that, the final days. Our country did start out as a Christian nation, and was supported as one up until recently, where the anti-christs of this world have gotten a good foot hold now practically on every contentment. There were rats on the Mayflower, the bankers (Rothchild family). I firmly believe they knew we would be a productive nation, and if possible to keep us asleep and hoodwinked, could be a good tool for them to reach global control and they’re almost there with it. Things will speed up soon and have been because the information is out now, people are talking, eyes are opening up. They can’t keep the secrets hidden in their own published and controlled history books. Many are still asleep afraid to wake up but someday soon everyone will see something they won’t believe.
