He does, but not always. And when we speak of evil, let it be known that evil is all sorts of things: illness, death, fighting, war, killing, etc.

If God stopped all evil, there would be no free will, and if there were no free will, we would all be His puppets, and He the puppet-master. Not to mention, NONE of us would be here because we are ALL inherently evil according to His laws.

EVIL DOINGS CAUSE HUMILITY IN OTHERS and often force people to turn to God because the hope they had in everything else worldly disappears. And if ANY nation is in need of humility, it’s America.

Romans 5 (NKJV)
Faith Triumphs in Trouble

5 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Today we are facing growing evil every where. Hatred towards Christians and Jews. Hatred towards Muslims. Hatred towards our government. Hatred coming FROM our government. “Evil deeds and lawlessness will abound, and the love of many will grow cold…”. It’s truly a very ugly world we are living in and it’s getting uglier by the minute.

Lets focus on America – why hasn’t God stopped this Obama regime and his destructive policies? Or what about the destructive policies of the past 10 presidents? There’s a simple answer for that and if we know that answer, we don’t fear, instead our focus is on the Lord.

It’s clear that this nation is under God’s judgment. Because we have turned from Him as a nation, He has turned from us as a nation. The blessings have stopped pouring in as a whole. His people are being blessed individually, but the nation is no more. He allowed us all to receive the warning on 9/11/01 to turn back to Him, but we failed to do so, and now here we sit.

This is how He works.

2 Chronicles 7:14
if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

God raises up leaders and takes them down. He controls evil and uses it for His glory. Let’s take a look at Pharoah in the days of Moses as an example:

Exodus 4:21
And the Lord said to Moses, “When you go back to Egypt, see that you do all those wonders before Pharaoh which I have put in your hand. But I will harden his heart, so that he will not let the people go.

Exodus 8:15
But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart and did not heed them, as the Lord had said.

How did the Lord use Pharaoh for His glory? God used Pharaoh as an example of evil so that the Israelites would be humbled and know God’s power, and forever remember that time in history and witness His glory and love for them. To this day, the Jews still celebrate their exodus from Egypt and still tell that story to their youth in reverence of the Lord. They remember this story in the sense of how GREAT God was to them. The Pharaoh was a tool used by God for the Jews, just like the things that are to come will be remembered. The same could be said about Adolf Hitler. While the atrocities from that were horrifying, it ended up resulting in the Jews, once again, returning to their land.

We are a stubborn race, a prideful race, and the Lord uses tough love on us all. KNOW in your hearts that when we are in times of trouble, He is growing us up and teaching us the most valuable lessons of all.

Job 5:17
“Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty.

The same could be said for a nation.

God is using our government for His glory. People get on their knees when they suffer. They stand tall and arrogant when they are prospering and doing well. God is just, He can do no wrong, so understand that all that is happening today is NOT a mistake, nor is it man alone doing these things.

Ecclesiastes 3 (NKJV)
Everything Has Its Time

3 To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

2 A time to be born,
And a time to die;
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
3 A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
4 A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
7 A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
8 A time to love,
And a time to hate;
A time of war,
And a time of peace.

He IS aware of what is happening. He knows your struggles. He is there to help His believers through. He promised:

Hebrews 13:5
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

KNOW in your hearts that the Lord is up to something amazing through all this muck and mire that we face today. Everything in life is His plan and in His time. And when the time of trouble is over, the sun will shine brighter and more brilliantly to you than ever before. He loves you! Praise Him today in the sufferings. Do not fear what man can do to you, but fear the Lord. Turn to Him in your hours of desperation.

Do you know Him?

Peace to you all, today and every day.

    1. Thank you for your consideration Richard and the pingback. I’m blessed to know you here. “we know them by their fruits” never rang as clear and true as it does today. I know I’m not the most eloquent writer, but God uses me for His glory nonetheless, and I couldn’t be more proud to be part of such an amazing and glorious adventure as the one we have in Christ during such a detrimental period of time. God bless you my friend. 🙂 (hugs)
