CASTING PEARLS

“Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.

I’m so tired of atheist arguments.  Aren’t you?  I mean it’s a constant repeat of the same old stuff, over and over and over again.  “God is as much a myth as a unicorn or the tooth fairy”, “science and Christianity are at odds.”….Blah blah blah.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years – it’s not to even bother wasting your time arguing with these fools because frankly – that’s just what they want.  As much as we wish to convert them, knowing in our hearts their destiny if they continue on their Jesus hating paths, they also wish desperately to convert us.  The reason they wish to convert us is because it’s some sick justification of their depravity and need for control if they can win us over.  What they don’t understand about us though is:

My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

That’s right.  Christians who have been changed by the Holy Spirit CANNOT BE MOVED.

As much as atheists today TRY to snuff out Christianity, they forget history which tells them they aren’t the first generation to attempt this in a period of history, nor will they be the last.  History also shows THEY NEVER SUCCEED.  I believe it’s because of John 10:29.  Only the unsaved fans of Christ are moveable….the rest of us are not.  Don’t fear the atheist attempts….don’t fear their efforts.  God always wins in the end – this we know.

My fellow Christ followers – don’t bother debating these folks.  If you happen to find one that is TRULY interested in actually LISTENING to what you have to say, then by all means, share away.  But the others?  They just want to be RIGHT….and you just can’t get anywhere with a right-fighter – EVER.  I’ve learned this after debating them for sometimes entire weeks.  It’s just not worth it.    They have ear plugs and blinders on.  They have tunnel vision – to destroy Christianity (notice not Islam or Buddhism).  And we know whose puppets they are.

Also know they only hate Christ Himself.  If they can’t reach Him, they’ll have to go to the closest thing – His followers.  They will attack, and scream and holler, throw fits and whine and complain about everything we do, say, and stand for.  Let them.  Know it’s not our battle to fight with them.  I’ve since given up on talking to them because I’ve learned it’s not up to us to make them see:

John 12:37 But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, 38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke:

“Lord, who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”

39 Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again:

40 He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts,
Lest they should see with their eyes,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should heal them.”

41 These things Isaiah said when he saw His glory and spoke of Him.

Don’t cast your pearls on the hard of heart, on those who are deaf and blind.  Let them wallow in the mud and ask the Lord to use you with those actually READY to hear.  Amen?

Peace to you all, today and every day.

  1. As a former Christian you should know that calling those of us in the big secular world around you “dogs, swine, deaf and blind” and then saying “peace to you all” has nothing to do with the greater and more inclusive message of Jesus. Maybe meet some of us “swine.” You may learn something and stop judging. . .lest ye be judged.

    1. I’m NOT a “FORMER CHRISTIAN” first and foremost. Furthermore, the words you claim I’m “judging” with, God Himself used….not me Chris. Take it up with Him if you feel you are being “judged”. Plus, my blog was clearly aimed at fellow followers of Christ. Move along….
